Modern fireplaces with air heating of more than one room!
modern and efficient heating method by using air ducts, fast heating of more
than one room – half an hour after starting the fireplace. It is recommended
where there is no human presence to keep the fire burning in the fireplace
during the day, and the purpose is to achieve fast heating. When the chamber is
made of cast iron, it stores and radiates thermal energy for a long time. The
method is considerably cheaper as an investment, compared to water heating.
Surface areas of up to 180-200 square metres can be heated. Hot air heating
principle: The fireplace is constructed so that there are strictly determined
air spaces around the chamber, which are insulated by using high density
mineral wool. Cold air gets in under the chamber, passes around it and as it
gets warm is collected in the hot air collector, from where the hot air, by
means of special fans – the so called extractors is delivered to the other
rooms through a system of air ducts. They can go through the ceiling, in the
rooms – in buildings with more than floor, or in the under-roof space in
single-floor houses. The most important thing in this method is the proper
construction of the cladding of the fireplace with air spaces and insulation.
-Installation of combustion
chambers equipped with an air jacket:
the installation of combustion chambers with an air jacket, the mandatory
requirement is to install one return air duct from each room back to the fan of
the combustion chamber. Example: in case of provision of heating for three
rooms – 6 air ducts, 3 with hot air to each of the rooms and 3 air ducts back
to the fan. In this way, the air circulates in the entire home. If these
requirements are not complied with, there is a risk for the fan to suck in
smoke from the combustion chamber.
With this type of installation, it is very important that the primary air
(going under the combustion chamber, with Ø60 - Ø110) is taken outside through an
air duct. The combustion chamber is equipped with a thermostat which opens at
temperature of 60 degrees. When the temperature is below 60 degrees, the fan
turns itself automatically (to prevent cold air being fed in). The equipment
also includes a revolution control device – increasing or decreasing the air
flow rate. The combustion chamber must be installed onto a prepared (clean)
surface, so that the fan does not suck in dust and particles of impurities.
During the performance of repair works, the fan must be turned off to prevent
it from sucking in construction material dust (the fan may burn out).
important detail you should consider is the size of the fireplace. If you live
in a spacious house, you could choose a large fireplace with an air jacket,
occupying the central place of your large living room. Being a main focus, it
must be sufficiently efficient regardless of its particular style. Various
fireplace types could satisfy the requirement for it to turn into the most
important element in your home. However, a large size fireplace would be
impossible in a small size home. In this case, you should go in for a smaller
size classical model. It will fit in well both in the interior and in the
surface area of the flat. With most air jacket fireplace models, the view of
burning fire is of significant importance, where the workmanship and glass
material allow for better visibility and a more beautiful view. Once more, this
contributes to the exceptional atmosphere which a French fireplace is capable
of bringing in. In the majority of the case, they are made of stone, and it is
the cladding which distinguishes between the models. The exquisite lines and
perfect decorations of the fireplaces are the main advantage which make most
people choose them. They complete the modern style of the living room or the
sitting room in a perfect manner or make the atmosphere even more classical,
according to your particular goals.
jacket is constructed around the fireplace. Air ducts run from it, reaching to
each of the rooms. The air ducts finish with a valve in each room. Cold air rushes
in from an aperture under the fireplace, passes through the air jacket, where
it gets heated. The fan compresses it in the air ducts. Through the valves, the
hot air is supplied to the rooms and warms them. The hot air supply is adjusted
by the valves. If the valve is closed in any of the rooms, the air is
distributed to the other rooms. The air duct must starts a little under the
highest point of the fireplace, so that sufficient heating air is left in the
room in which the fireplace is installed. This room is also warmed by the heat
radiated through the glass of the door. Air supply must be ensured to the
combustion chamber for keeping the fire burning.
diversity allows you to fulfil your most audacious dreams and to make your most
pretentious desires come true. A fireplace with an air jacket is not just a way
of keeping your home warm, but rather a way of feeling the cosiness and romance
of a home setting. A comfortable armchair and a book in your hand in front of
one of the numerous French designs – this is not just a fragment from a
sentimental film, nut your day in your new home. Choose a method of heating and
decoration and you will get high quality smoke conduit pipes and insulation.
The maintenance of the fireplaces with an air jacket is a particularly easy
task because you can find French and Italian cleaning cosmetics, with which you
can shine to perfection even the smallest element of the cladding.
